Because MNM provides all of the transportation for the children to all of our programs, we try to be as cautious as possible when it comes to severe weather.  We want to take every precaution while transporting the children and we do not want you, our volunteers, to take any unneeded risks.

Basically, here is the plan: 

• If there are any severe weather warnings (thunderstorm, tornado, ice, snow, etc) during scheduled program time, we will cancel the program.
• If schools are not in session because of severe weather, we will cancel programs.
• If schools close early because of bad weather, we will also cancel.

We will always send out emails to let you know (please make sure that we have your address!) and also we will post on our Facebook page – MultiNational Ministries Volunteers and Friends – as well as this website.

However, if you have any question, please give us a call to verify the plan!

Do you remember having ‘growing pains?”  I can remember lying in bed as a child and my legs just aching during a growth spurt.

During the summer between my son’s 8^th and 9^th grade year he grew 3 inches and 2 shoe sizes – WOW!  I remember thinking how that must cause some serious aching to grow that much that fast.

I think ‘GROWING PAINS’ is a perfect way to describe Monday Nights at MNM last fall – Although it was WONDERFUL to have so many more kids attending, we grew so much and so fast that we kinda couldn’t keep up and do things as well as we should have.

The great news is that over the winter break we have had time to “catch up” and restructure a LOT of things that will make the evening less chaotic, more effective for the kids, and more enjoyable for all of the volunteeers.

And if you have any more ideas that might be beneficial, please send them – it will help us a LOT!

I really hope to see you on Mondays  — We need bunches more volunteers.  (This is the perfect way for a family to volunteer or for students to earn community service hours.)

Hopefully now our ‘growing pains’ are over and we have a system in place that will allow us to grow even more WITHOUT any more aches!  Thank you so much

The GREAT news is that we at least 60 MNM students (Prek-12th grade) begging to come to Homework Help every Tuesday and Thursday.  The bad news is that we have to turn so many of them away because we do not have enough volunteers to keep the ratio of tutors to students low enough to be effective.  Check your schedules….it is only a little more than an hour from 2:15 – 3:30 and you can’t imagine the world of good it does.  Most of the kids don’t have anyone at home who speaks English in order to help them.  Drop us an email if you can come help them complete their daily homework assignments.  Thanks!
